Vaccination and Immunisation Services

We will offer and administer routine vaccinations and immunisations for the following diseases.

Children

All routine vaccinations to protect against:

  • diphtheria;
  • tetanus;
  • pertussis (whooping cough;
  • polio;
  • haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib);
  • hepatitis B;
  • meningococcal group b;
  • rotavirus gastroenteritis;
  • pneumococcal infection;
  • meningitis type c;
  • measles;
  • mumps;
  • rubella;

Some vaccines are combined as a single dose, for example measles, mumps and rubella is a single injection against all three diseases.

Adults

The following are offered depending on age:

  • pneumococcal infection (age 2-64 in a clinical risk group and everyone 65 and over);
  • shingles (age 70 and over);
  • measles, mumps and rubella (age 16 and over where incomplete vaccination in childhood);
  • pertussis (for pregnant women from 16 weeks of pregnancy).
